I can't believe I haven't shared yet.

This weekend, we went to the local animal shelter and got this adorable little guy:



His name is Bean and he's the most curious little guy ever.

It'll be nice for the nights when you aren't here. It can be hit or miss, so it's definitely a good thing.

I am glad you took one of our black ones, those are the hardest to get adopted for some reason. That's what they told me at least.

It's superstition, apparently.
A lot of good shelters will also not allow black cats to be adopted around Halloween because it's dangerous for for them. People will do horrible things.

Actually, that's one reason I wanted a black cat. They are adorable and they need homes too.

A couple of ways. When we were at the shelter, Professor Herrera said he looked like a little bean. Then when we got him home, he was bouncing around everywhere and reminded me of this toy my mother had, little Mexican jumping beans? Thus Bean.
