Being wiped might have been a terrifying prospect for most, yet Conners was already living in the shadows. His 'life' and public image suited the man's needs yet all the records of him were barely skin deep. Oh he was a real cop, and even his name was real too. However behind the most basic of details, nothing else existed of him out there online. No traceable accounts, or social media links either that could ever trace back to the killer for hire. The perks of doing jobs for the largest gangs around were numerous, and even the Five had owed Dig a few favors too...which he had used to ensure there was no digital footprints of his left out there in the world. Well nothing beyond the shiny police officer/upstanding public figure facade that he wore like a mask. Favors were one of his favorite forms of currency around, though credits were good too. Still tonight was special. In exchange for a sizable 'contribution' of those reallocated goods, the cop had asked for something more than just credits.
Oh there was a decent sum of credits loaded on that credstick to be sure, but the real prize was the information...and the services of a little scone loving hacker too. Granted, Riley doubted the young woman had a clue about that last part. Especially since he had made the arrangement with one of the Five directly. Or 'directly' through their favorite lawyer. Without hesitation the corrupt cop tossed her the small case of datachips and ICD's, and pocketed the offered credstick too. Not bothering to verify the amount. No, his focus fell onto the intel she had handed over on the small chip. It took a moment to load it up into his phone device, but that wolfish grin quickly spread as the details flashed before his eyes on the HUD. Finally satisfied, and so very excited about what was to come, Digger chimed in at last. "This will do. I've got the gear you'll need in the trunk of my cruiser, so why don't you get that scone of yours to go and we will be off." Before the young woman could question what he was talking about Dig sent a quick text, and grinned anew as the Wire's lawyer sent the poor girl her marching orders for the evening.
Not bothering to wait and see how she'd react to being pimped out to a monster like him, Riley moved to grab a black coffee to go...giving the girl a chance to get caught up to speed. Oh there was a reason he had made this the last run of his night. A reason Dig had worked hard to complete his contracts early tonight....sure the man loved making money, but there was one passion he held even above wealth as well. Namely hunting down those that preyed on helpless kids. That intel from the Wire had been exactly what he needed; the security layout and schematics for his latest target. The old prick had been hiding himself away behind his wealth and connections. But tonight none of those things would save the bastard from a very bloody and brutal death. Not when the cop had the drive and desire to make the prick pay. And had a skilled hacker to help get past all that high tech security too.
