Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Jason, The Hoods Vs. NPC Cybermen
Where: An apartment in the red
When: One day after Morgan was taken, evening
Rating: Violence

They had ruled out The Wire after the canvas of the neighborhood, and reached out to them for help. With Mickey's help and some of his people they were able to not only identify the car of the people who took Morgan, but also where they were. The car was followed to an apartment complex and an ID search ruled that the registration had an address in that building. The safe bet was that's where his son was.

Jason had Esme stay at Avalon with Zel and to keep things together while he took some of the hoods into the red. If anything happened to him, Camelot would need her. Armed and with some simple body armor the four of them got into a car that was unmarked and inconspicuous and headed into the other gangs territory. Rule was no colors represented so the four of them wore black instead of white. It was no wonder the CoD got so many things pinned on them when black was the most common stealth color. Thankfully most of their members tended to wear black and silver so it was a little more obvious when you saw one... and they tended to be more flashy than t-shirts, jeans and hoodies.

Jason's own hood was up to help hide his face, sunglasses with a nigh and infrared vision aspect helped as well. As they pulled up to the apartment Jason looked to the team and nodded. "Okay, Robin I want you and Much to go up the fire escape. Marion, you're will me, we're going in the front door. Make sure your earpieces are in and on, once we get in position we're going in. Remember, this is a rouge mission, our goal is to get in and out without getting caught. Take out any enemies we must to get to our target. His safety is our number one priority." It may have been a bad idea for him to go on the mission himself, he was highly invested, but he was also professional. "Any questions?" Once any questions were sorted he nodded. "Good, let's go."

From the very moment that Jason had told him that not only he had a son, but the mother had been murdered, and he'd be moving in with his father now, Cat had a feeling that things weren't simply cut and dry. She hadn't said anything, though. She had no reason to voice a gut feeling without any proof to back it up. Mainly because it hadn't been her place to say anything without proof. With Morgan being kidnapped, now she wished that she had followed her gut and looked into things sooner. Not that she even would have known where to start.

She couldn't let the guilt get to her now, though. She was on a mission, and she would do anything for her King. Going in the front door wasn't exactly something that she was used to on her normal missions. It was usually about finding the least conspicuous way of sneaking in, but she wasn't about to questions things now. Now in full "Marion" mode, she gave Arthur a nod once she was ready and turned her earpiece on. "Let's do this," she said softly, trying her best to not smile, despite it being quite normal for her to do so at any time.

Jason nodded and the two of them headed into the building. His plan was to hit them from two sides, flank them, also increase their odds of finding Morgan fast with two starting from the back and two from the front. As they approached the building it was clear it was a more rundown complex, the door didn't have a reader so it was just open to anyone. They entered and started up the stairs. It was a few floors up and if they went quick and quiet they shouldn't pass anyone. The trick was hacking the lock once they got to the door.

Thankfully that was something most of the hoods were pretty skilled at doing- and they were used to much more sophisticated locks.

Cat hadn't gotten the position of Marion for her looks. Sure, it did help on occasion in the field, but in times like this, it was all about skill. She made her way up the stairs with her king quickly and quietly, going completely undetected. Once they reached the door they were looking for, she tilted her head, examining it for a moment before pulling out her toolkit and finding the exact right tools for the job.

Once she had the lock successfully hacked, she stepped back, taking a deep breath and giving Jason a nod. Her nerves were beginning in to kick in a little, she bit her lip, knowing that he'd be able to see the worry on her face. At the same time, she knew that he would be able to bring her back down.

Jason nodded and through the comms spoke to Robin and Much. "Okay, you two clear from the back we'll clear from the front. Stealth is our ally. Breach on the count of three. One. Two. Three." Carefully he opened the door, knife in hand in a reverse grip, ready to attack anyone who came near. He signaled to Marion to follow as they entered. The door to the living room was closed, which was good. A quick check told them the bathroom was empty so he signaled to start with the room on the left. Getting into position, he waited on her before they breached.

It didn't take Marion long to gather her bearings, she kept near the wall as she carefully approached the door to the room on the left, weapon in hand. She wondered if these guys realized that close doors weren't their friends, but it was exactly what Jason and the Hoods needed to get the upper hand in the situation. She moved next to the door, getting ready to open it so he could enter first. She opened the door and allowed Jason to enter first before following close behind him, ready to strike.

As they entered there were two guys sleeping atop the bed, both on the covers looked like they might be working in shifts. He nodded to Marion to cover the other side of the bed as he approached one side. Knife in hand he knew their deaths were probably needless, but they had taken his son. His morality was turned off at that moment. Besides, they couldn't risk being followed when they left.

On his signal, he clamped a hand over the sleeping man's mouth and pressed his knife into the fleshy part between the mans collarbone and twisted the knife up, severing the carotid artery. It took seconds for him to bleed out, he barely had enough time to realize what was happening before the light faded from his eyes.

Marion was already in enough shock seeing Jason with a knife, but when she thought about it, she knew that her father would be doing the same for her or any of her siblings. However, that didn't stop the nearly audible gasp from escaping her lips. In all of her time as part of Camelot, that was the first time she had seen anyone die. She also had never seen that look in Jason's eyes in the entire time that she had known him.

She had her hand up, ready to strike the other thug with a knockout blow. That was something that she had done before. Incapacitating was more the way of Camelot, or so she thought. At the same time, she knew that she wasn't exactly operating with her King. If she needed to talk Jason down, she'd wait until after they knew that Morgan was safe. Until then, she knew that every single one of these men deserved what they were getting. No matter if they were the ones who took Jason's son, or they just happened to be on the same payroll and happened to be guarding a certain room at the time that he crossed their path.

It wasn't the first time Jason had killed. There had been circumstances when the war was bad that even as a squire (because he'd stayed one so long) he'd been in a situation where in order to defend another must be injured. He kicked himself for not realizing the impact it would have on Marion.

The in her moment of shock the goon before her woke and started to move at her. Before he could say anything, Jason reached quickly across the bed and pressed his hand over his mouth. He then slipped the blade into the mans side, forcefully it slid between his ribs and as he pulled toward him, internally ripped open his lung. The man collapsed to the bed, it would be about half a minute before he died but he wouldn't be screaming for help. He wiped his knife off on the sheets and quickly moved around the bed to Marion.

The weapon slipped into his sheath he held her shoulders and looked down at her. "You okay?" He asked in a hushed voice, grateful the man with the chrome arm hadn't gotten a hold of her.

When she saw the cybernetically enhanced man reach for her, she jumped back, but not quite enough. Just as he was about to grab her, Jason grabbed him. Her eyes widened even more as she watched him kill the second man. She stood there, frozen until she felt Jason's hands on her shoulders. "I hate you," she grumbled, pouting. After quickly composing herself, she looked up at Jason, responding in a similarly hushed tone, "warn a girl next time."

She shook herself off, taking a few deep breaths before giving a silent apology. She made it quick, hoping that Jason would allow her a moment to get her head back into the game so that they could continue their mission. She just hoped that things were going just as well, if not better, for Robin & Much.

The two of them snuck out of the room, Robin and Much were taking care of those in the kitchen area and there was one room left. Jason stood at the door and closed his eyes a moment, gathering himself for what would be on the other side. "Watch my back." He whispered as he quickly opened the door and rushed in. One guy was standing there, watching his son. As fortune would have it, his back was to the King.

Arthur rushed at the man, quickly grappling him around the neck. He hooked one hand on his arm as the other covered the mans mouth and he pulled back, causing the man to loose his footing slightly as he struggled against his air supply being cut off. Jason held him there until he stopped struggling and then a little more. Then he finally released the unconscious man and let him fall to the floor. He should have killed him like the others, but at the last minute he couldn't do that in front of Morgan.

Cat calmed down by the time that they made it into the next room and was back to being laser focused. As Jason took out another henchman, she kept her eyes on the rest of the room on all other entry points in the room. When he made the decision to not kill that man, like he had with the others, she let out a small sigh of relief. She stayed quiet, putting a smile on her face to put the boy at ease. Daddy may have been full of rage, but Auntie Cat was there to make sure that Morgan was comfortable.

“Found him. Time to go.” He said over the comms as he moved over to Morgan and undid his hands and removed the gag from his mouth. Jason reached up and brushed his hand over the boy’s hair and cheek. “Hey. I got you.” Tears slipped out of the young kids eyes as he almost lept at Jay, arms clutching him around the neck. Morgan burried his head in Jason’s chest and whimpered “Dad..” The king hushed the boy and rose to his feet, hefting him into his arms. “We’re gonna go home now.” He assured the boy as he nodded to Cat.

“Robin, Much, take the back way out. Meet me and Marion at the car.” He ordered. “Watch your six.”

The moment word got to him that Morgan had been kidnapped, King felt a fire ignite in his gut. It was a mixture of determination to find and get the boy back, and indignation that someone could do such a thing. And though he never said anything - the right words hadn't seemed to find him and all King could think were things that wouldn't help to be said - he chucked proper clothes on and hit the streets to find clues. Morgan wasn't his son, but be damned if he wouldn't get angry and vengeful anyway if a hair had been so much as misplaced on the boy's head.

Once he stood in as much black as he owned, listening to Arthur give instructions, a calmness fell over him. There were no questions on Much's end, just a willingness to do his part. In doing so, he'd used his nanites to change the color of his hair to blonde despite being mostly hidden under a black beanie, and his eyes to green. Nanites couldn't do much to change his physical ethnicity by giving him less almond-shaped eyes, but if spotted it could at least give the illusion that he was more Caucasian than Asian. It at least helped that he was so pale naturally.

Breaking off with Robin, he pressed his earpiece more firmly into his ear and remained more serious. A vast difference from his normal boisterous behavior. Now, it was time to get shit done.

Much took a running jump toward the ladder and pulled himself up, tucking his legs between a rung and angling himself to offer his hands to Robin. It wasn't soundless, but it would make less noise for her to climb up him than to pull the ladder down toward them. "Gimme your hands, I'll pull you up."

When Arthur reached out to the others about what had happened with Morgan, Robin was first to go out and gather as much information as possible. And once the Wire was ruled out, and had their help it was easier to locate an address on where Morgan was last seen. With Arthur giving out orders, and her frame dressed in all black, it was easy for her to nave those nanites change her long hair to that short boyish style cut, black paint appeared on her skin to keep her features hidden. Along with the help of the hoodie, she was wearing. Dressed in all black, she nodded and came to follow Much.

When he leaned back and held his arms out to her, she jumped to grip at his wrist and take hold. Being pulled up as she gripped the railing herself, she was able to pull up a bit faster than Much, thanks to her cybernetic hands. It wasn't long before she reached that fire escape and held her hand out to help Much up. A firm nod was given to him.

"Arthur, we're in position. Waiting on your mark."

It was hard not to notice as he took her proffered hand - and perhaps be a little envious of - Robin's cybernetic grip and it's strength. Sometimes he wondered if he would ever feel inclined to make the change for himself. Those kinds of cybernetics always felt useful for their kind of work.

Pulling his mind back on task, he gave a quick inclination in response to Robin's nod and moved into position.

"How many lackies do you think we'll run into?" Much asked, voice low.

It wasnt that Robin wanted the cybernetics. But rather that she needed it. Still as she helped Much up and.heard his question she smirked. "Hopefully enough to keep us intertained." She stated, before holding her hand up as she listened to Jason.

A nod given to Much when the King counted down. It wasn't hard for them to enter quietly. But it wasn't something that lasted long either since just as they crept in one of the sickies was walking into the room. Which meant they had to work quickly to make sure he didn't alert the others.

Already moving quickly she punched the man in the neck to choke him for the moment before she grabbed at his mouth from behind. "Check the other rooms for Morgan. I'll take care of our little friend here."

That was an answer that left a smirk on Much's lips. He didn't entertain brutality often, but that side of him came out during missions like these. The find and protect, the part that frothed at the mouth when someone hurt his people.

King was such a good boy but Much had some bite to him.

When Jason's countdown was over, there wasn't any hesitation as he followed Robin into the room. As soon as he saw the lackey his muscles coiled, then soon impotently paused when Robin already got to him first. A spark of pride at how fluidly Robin did that filled his chest.

"Roger." Much nodded, moving toward the door. Quickly, he poked his head out to get his bearings and found himself fortunate that two gruff looking men had their back to him. It allowed him to duck down and hide behind a couch while he waited for fortune to smile on him as one of them gave a grunt and walked away frustrated.

He didn't need to look back to know Robin would be behind him soon, but that didn't stop him from sneaking up behind the man still there. His muscled arm pressed against his neck to choke the air from him until he dropped to the floor.

That guy was going to wake up with one hell of a headache.

Robin was small and quick. Which helped for missions like this, as she crept out of the room she saw Much take charge, which was great. Slowly she moved along the wall until she came across the second guy, who was turning and coming back this way. Crunched down low she waited for the man to come just slightly out from around the corner before she balled up her fist and slammed her knuckled into his jaw.

Before he could hit the floor she had caught him and lowered him to the ground, that rag with chlorine pressed against his mouth and nose to knock him out. Already motioning for Much to follow her.
