That little giggle, and her obvious excitement over the prospect of pizza for dinner, had Rigs grinning again. After placing the order he set his phone aside, grabbed his beer and took a sip before turning his attention to the screen. Hearing her admission though, about having never dreamed of her wedding, drew the man's gaze back to her. For a moment Mike just looked at his fiance, before his arm moved to rest around her shoulders and draw her a little closer. "Honestly never thought I'd live long enough to ever get married, babe. Even before the car bomb...well I figured I'd be dead and buried by now."
The life of a gang member was a bloody one to be sure; and being a, former, Captain had O'Hare on the top of a lot of people's kill list. He had made a lot of enemies, and now that the truce was over more then a few of em would love to see Rigs eliminated. Still worrying over it had never been his way, and even as he sat beside her and turned his focus to the pictures...for the first time in ages Mike found himself actually excited about having a real future.
