A look of longing, and genuine happiness, flashed across his face when she spoke. Just hearing her say that she'd marry him right now sent his heart a flutter. "Yeah well, already wearing the rings so that's good enough till the big day, babe." The politics of the gang weren't lost on him at all; especially since Rigs had been adopted into the ruling family...which made him something of royalty-adjacent. He never gave a shit about that stuff, but if it made Mama Murphy happy, it was worth going through with the whole event.
When she asked about the white suit Rigs didn't laugh or tease her at all. If anything the man considered it earnestly before finally offering a shrug. "Think we should do matching white suits? The cuts would look a bit weird, but if that's what you want I can talk to Mama Murphy about it. Figure my standing with her is golden, even more so then normal, so there's a chance I could talk her into it." Mike wasn't kidding; about the suits, or his standing with his adoptive mother. He'd always been a favorite son in her eyes, and lately he'd been piling up the brownie points to with all the wedding stuff.
"Brisket and Mutt are doing good. Got some of the RT's taking care of em while I'm working, and the probies have been handling the food runs too." Not having Jimmy around had been taking a little toll; not just on the dogs, but on him too. Mike had gotten used to Jimmy sharing his bed, and the lack of sex of late had left him a tad cranky with the boys. "Mutt and her are getting along. Though she keeps taking his toys and hiding em around the place. Figure I'll find a large pile of squeaky toys under the couch when I get home."
