Coming from the picture perfect Camelot family, there was a perceived image that Cat had unintentionally upheld for years. From an early age, she knew that she was going to become a high ranking member somewhere within the Royal Court. She dedicated herself to that, and because she had, she hadn't taken the time to even try dating yet. She had meant to by the time that she had settled into her role of Maid Marion, but it hadn't quite happened yet. If she hadn't gotten into that argument, she wouldn't have pushed her limits as far as she could in one night with a complete stranger. She was finally over the fact that it had happened, so she sort of meant it when she suggested that she and King go on a date.
She'd been a bundle of nerves the whole week after setting the date up. She had made it through the week, still having considerably less scouting missions and whatnot after the incident a few weeks ago. She was never supposed to go out alone in the first place, especially not that far away, but she had been mostly wandering and figured that it would be fine since she had stayed in the grey areas. Seeing King during a meeting and catching his smile did make her feel better, though.
After a long week behind the desk, Cat was ready for whatever. She had brought a change of clothes to work and changed in the locker room after her shift and walked outside the front door to meet King enough away from any possible prying eyes. It wasn't that she was ashamed of wanting to go out with him. It was more the fact that she didn't want to possibly get into it with her sister over hanging out with a boy after what had happened.
