It was an hour later that Zel would be walking into the apartment, with Morgan asleep in her arms. As she came into the apartment, she wasn't even sure if Jason was home all she knew was she was putting Morgan to sleep in his room. She already knew the boy was going to come into their room tonight, which was fine by her. Already she moved into the bedroom, as she came to remove her shirt that was ripped with some of her blood and his.

She had a cut on her lower lip and a few bruises on her arm and neck from where he had gripped and thrown her into. A heavy sigh escaped her as her hands where shaking. She didn't bother taking anything, because she knew with her state right now it wouldn't be a good trip she would have. Instead she came to sit on the edge of the bed as she brought her hands over her face as she tried to control her emotions as memories rushed back to her.

Jason had been home. He was in the room when Zel and Morgan arrived. As she entered the room he was finishing up a message. “Zel.” He said softly, seeing her beaten. He moved forward and pulled her into a long hug. He didn’t want to let her go. He’d felt so helpless listening to her struggling and that wasn’t a feeling he enjoyed. He actively tried to avoid it. But he was frequently finding himself feeling that way when it came to protecting her. He was failing. Jay kissed her cheek gently, seeing the cut on her lip. “Get changed. I’m going to say goodnight to Morgan.”

He slowly let her go and headed into the boys room. There were a lot of hugs and reassurances. It was clear this had shaken him and reminded him of when his mother was attacked. He did his best to remind Morgan he was protected by an entire kingdom and all the knights in the realm because his father was the King. So he’d always protect him. Even though he’d felt in this case he’d not done that. The boy curled up in his bed finally and yawned, eyes listing closed and Jay snuck out.

Everything Jason had told Morgan, she'd done the same on the drive to the apartment. Still, she came to change into those usual boxers of his and shirt that she had literally claimed hers since the first night she stayed over. When she was changed she had balled up the clothes and tossed them in a bag. She was determined to burn them tonight outside.

Still, she came to move to the mirror in the bathroom as she looked at the cut on her lip and the bruises on her neck.

His hand moved into her hair to hold her head. “Shhh. You have nothing to be sorry about.” He said softly. “You did nothing wrong.” If anything she’d protected Morgan. “How about we get you a cold pack for your lip so it doeanf swell, huh?” He offered. Slowly releasing her. He moved into his bedroom and pulled a first aid kit from under his bed. Opening it up he picked out a small, hard, pillow shaped thing and then snapped it. A crack was heard as the pillow softened. He shook it up and handed it to her. It was cool to the touch.

	“Doesn’t matter who it was. He crossed a line and you fought back.” Jason knelt at her feet and placed his head in her lap. “I heard you... you made sure my son was safe. 	When he buried his face in her hair she turned slightly to hold him tightly. "I love you and Morgan so much." She said as she felt those tears come down her face finally. Jason couldn’t help but laugh slightly. “Zel... beautiful, you know how much danger just being in my position can bring? You didn’t really know me before the treaty, there was a time Camelot was routinely dealing with attacks by smaller groups looking to invade our territory. I made a lot of enemies before I became King and the title itself makes me a target. But I don’t go around scared or hiding because what kind of an example is that for my knights? For those we protect? If anyone is after you they’re after me by proxy and hell if I’m letting anyone get away with threatening or hurting you.” Oh he was serious. It wasn’t the same rage he’d exibited when he’d lost it in the club. This was a much more refined rage. A calm rage.

	When he explained a bit of what Camelot was like in the past and how he made his own share of enemies she shook her head with a smirk. "Could you imagine if we got married?" As she was laid back on the bed, she came to stare up at him. "This.. is going to work, right?" She asked with a hint of fear in her voice as she tried to hide it for the moment. So far the relationship had its good moments but a lot of issues arose because of her. Then there were other things that could go wrong. Zel didn't want to think about that, as she brought Jason into her and brought her lips to kiss his.

"If we keep trying." Jason kissed her deeply, as his hand rested on her hip. He wanted her to feel safe and protected with him. Jay couldn't help but feel he was failing her. Pulling back slightly he moved his hand from her hip and brushed some hair from her face. "All I know for sure is that I love you... And whatever happens... I'm certain we can get through. After all, if we fuck-ups know one thing... it's how to survive right?" He smiled softly as his lips took in hers again.

	He was right, they knew how to survive. And though Zel wasn't thrilled about the arrangement she understood enough to know he needed the change. If not the relationship wouldn't last. Soon both their clothes were on the floor and they were embraced as close as two people could be. It was... tame. Patient, but passionate. No, it wasn't something that would satisfy that hole inside for long, but it did satisfy his heart. Jason was gentle, and once they both found release and lay panting in each others arms. Jay couldn't help but look at Zel with admiration. "You are amazing." He said, leaning over to give her a quick kiss before he moved to put on a clean pair of boxers and tank top. He knew that it probably wouldn't be too long before he had a sleepover guest. "So... while it's still us... did you know the guy?" He asked softly.

	It always left Zel breathless with Jason. But as he dressed she did the same thing. Hearing his last question she sighed heavily. "Matthew Somerrest" she said as she shivered at the name. "My.. mothers boyfriend or rather ex now..." that was all she said. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

When he promised, Zel nodded her head. A kiss given to him as she heard that knock. She already knew it was Morgan as she smiled to the boy. Already holding her arms out as he rushed into the bed and came to hold onto Zel tightly as he buried his face to sleep.

Zel came to look at Jason. "I love you." She said giving him another kiss before shoving him. "But go. We'll be fine now that we're home." She said looking to Jason. "Please..."
