Who: Zel and Jason
When: Sunday night
Where: Jason’s apartment
What: Zel is dancing
Status: Ongoing
Jason had explained that he had something to do back in Avalon, and since neither Zel nor Morgan wanted to go the two stayed behind. It had been a few hours that the two were left alone. Zel had made them dinner to eat and helped with his math. Finally the blonde had put the boy to sleep. The apartment was cleaned and the leftovers in the fridge. Zel didn’t worry about where Jason was, it was part of the rules. She simply assumed he got side tracked, which was fine. With the lights dimmed low and the music playing softly in the living room, Zel had just taken that score ten minutes ago. So it was clear she felt good right now. As the music played, Zel found herself with her eyes closed for the moment. Her body swaying from one side to the next as she came to reach her hands out for the moment. Lost to the world around her. Bare feet touched the floor as she came to her tippy toes as her hands folded over her head and soon that spin was created as her hand reached out to her side as she spun lightly.. Her dancing if looked at closely would be ballet almost. -- There was a small beep and click as the door opened and Jason entered the apartment. Immediately he saw Zel’s movements and smiled. He quietly closed the front door and moved to the side. He leaned against kitchen counter and watched her dance in the living room. Jay didn’t say anything, just smiled softly as she found a moment of bliss. It was like he couldn’t stop looking at her. She was just so beautiful. -- Zel wasn’t aware the Jason had returned, as she found herself lost in a world that wasn’t her own. Her frame coming quickly to stand on that table as she spun once more. Looking like one of those ballerinas from a music box almost. But as she came to slowly open her eyes she saw Jason, and the man honestly startled her as she stumbled off that table a bit. “Jason.” She said exhaling deeply. “What the hell, you scared me.” She said shaking her head as she brushed blond hair from her face. -- He laughed slightly and held out a hand. “I’m sorry. I just… you were mesmerizing. I didn’t want to interrupt.” Jason stepped forward and gave her a small kiss on the cheek hello. -- She came to take the kiss as she exhaled deeply. “It was just dancing.” She said shaking her head. “Morgan’s asleep.” She informed him as she came to look up at the man. She thought about what Merr told her, but came to push those thoughts back for the moment. No, it wasn’t true and Jason didn’t feel that way. They had an agreement. But Zel did lie. She did feel like she was falling for Jason, which was why she was so scared. -- He brushed some of her hair back from her face and looked upon her. “How was he? No trouble I hope.” God she was gorgeous. -- “You kidding, the kid is a saint.” She said assuring him that Morgan wasn’t a handful. “Had fun?” She asked. Assuming he had gone to a club to have his fun, since he said he did like how they gave head or that he liked the feel of getting fucked. -- Jason shrugged. “As much fun as checking supplies and confirming schedules can be. Also ran into Esme, had to help her…” He chuckled slightly. “Apply some coverup to a nice little love bite she got Friday night… that’s why I’m running a bit late.” -- “Wait, little miss princess actually got love bites?” She asked with a raised brow for the moment. “I’m starting to see a pattern here.” She said teasing Jason. “Camelot isn’t as clean as you’re making it, is it?” She asked with an arched brow for the moment as she crossed her arms. Wasn’t that the whole point? Camelot was supposed to be better than the rest. But so far Zel noticed the king was consumed by his demons and the queen seem to not be as clean and innocent as everyone assumed. -- “Adults can still have fun.” Jason said, moving around behind her he slipped his arms around her. “The point is we keep our neighborhood safe.” He laid a soft kiss on her neck. It wasn’t suggestive or anything, just affectionate. “And do our best to promote a positive lifestyle for the kids here. But safety is our number one cause.” -- When he came up behind her and held her close, she rested her head against his shoulder. Her frame swaying from side to side. “You really do like it here, don’t you?” She asked as she looked up at him for the moment. “You know.. We do something similar. Except we don’t go patrolling. We take care of our own from the inside.” She said as she came to wrap her arms around Jason’s. She felt it again. The way her heart fluttered and the rate increased when she was around him. -- “When I told you this place saved my life… I was just talking shit. It gave me a purpose.” He said, holding her close. He didn’t want to let her go. Jason closed his eyes and swayed with her a little. “And I worked hard to get to where I am. I proved myself.” He pressed his lips to her temple. “I’m just glad you’re not an enemy.” Though, he knew that their alliances could shift at any moment. He just didn’t want to think about it. -- “Did you want to be King?” She asked softly. Zel never really talked about Camelot with Jason. She always felt they were too ‘pure’ for her. But Jason wasn’t. He was fucked up, and she liked that about him. Because it meant he couldn’t judge her. When he mentioned the thing about not being enemies, she nodded slightly. “Hopefully, it stays like this.” She said as she turned to look at him for the moment. “..You know… If anything happens between…” She said swallowing. “... You know where my loyalties stand.” Her arms came around his neck as she kept that sway. “As much as I like you…” She said trailing off as she rested her head into his chest. -- “I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure it never gets to that. Besides, The Wire is someone only an idiot would want to cross. It’s the others I’m more worried about.” The SSR could be quite a feat, they have the violence and the organization. The Cybermen were ruthless and vicious like a pack of dogs, though not as organized but that also meant they could act without provocation. The CoD was just as bad if they got that far north, but he respected Father because he seemed to have a line drawn and wouldn’t be an issue- for now. “I did… I always idolized the previous Arthur. He was nice but authoritative. When I found out I was in the running I was shocked. I was sure I was a nobody, but he saw my potential.” -- She came to listen to him for the moment. “I don’t trust any of them.” Is all she said on the matter. But she listened to him. “Why did you think, you were a nobody?” She asked as she locked her fingers around his neck, still dancing to the slow music that played around them. “Mickey… Wanted me to try out for one of the leader positions when we were younger.” She said with a shrug. “He has this fantasy of us ruling The Wire together.” She said shaking her head with a light laugh. “We grew up together under the wire.” -- “I was just a kid from the streets. My Uncle barely noticed I was never home, so why should this stranger?” Jason shrugged slightly. “I figured I’d be lucky to make knight much less anything higher. But here I am.” There was that name again, Mickey. He did feel jealous, but because he probably knew her better than him. “Why didn’t you?” - She listened to him for the moment. “Hey.” She said turning him to look down at her. She gave him a kiss to his lips for the moment. “Because the timing wasn’t right.” She said as she came to look at Jason. “Besides, I can’t see myself as one of the Top Five.” She said shaking her head. “If you think you’re a nobody, I’m pretty sure I’m none existent to them. Well, all except one.” She said notioning Mickey. -- “Well, I’m not a nobody anymore… and neither are you.” He rested his hands on her waist. Jason couldn’t help but look at her with a fodness. His heart raced as he thought of what Esme said and how he felt. Then again did he really want to risk screwing up something that was good? Maybe he could just deal when she was at her place. Jerk off and hope it was enough. “There’s… something I should tell you…” Jay started, swallowing. “Because, for the sake of honesty you should know. In the last two weeks… maybe a little more... “ He looked down and to the side as if dreading her reaction. “You’re the only person I’ve been with.” -- She was about to argue with him on that comment. But when he said there was something she needed to know, that he needed to tell her.. Zel started freaking out on the inside. That slow dancing coming to a halt as she watched him fumble with his words. ”Don’t say it Jason… Please don’t say…” She wasn’t even aware of her emotions going into overdrive right now, as her breathing quickened. But when he confessed to only sleeping with her lately, she came to take a step back suddenly. That wasn’t part of the agreement. It wasn’t part of their understanding. “...What.. Why.” She said suddenly going from surprised to urgency heard in her voice. Sure, telling her he loved her would have freaked her out, but so did this. Because she didn’t know how to process that information. She didn’t understand why, when she assured him she understood and it would be fine. -- “Because… I don’t want to.” He replied, feeling the heavily implied reasoning between them in the form of silence. -- She shook her head for the moment as she looked at him. That silence lingered, and it spoke volumes as she came to look at him suddenly as if slowly realizing why he didn’t want to be with others. “...You promised…” She said swallowing down hard as she felt her hair going from that blonde color to that long red shade suddenly. Her body at this point was shaking. -- “I know.” Jason said, his eyes not moving from her as his brow furrowed ever so slightly. “It just… happened.” That morning she was kidnapped, before everything went to shit. Waking up next to her and seeing the joy in her eyes. He knew he wanted to see that more and only hers. “I don’t expect you to change, or anything. There’s still no jealousy. But… I thought you should know where I am.” -- “It just happened? That doesn’t just happen!” She said in a hushed voice because of Morgan. Her hands reaching into her hair as she shook her head. When he said he didn’t expect her to change she came to look at him. She didn't know how to react. So she did the only thing she could think of. “..Merr..” At first the name was a whisper as she shook her head.”Dammit, Merritt, where are you!” She said out loud. Not really caring that Jason was there right now. But she did come to look at him. Her hand held out as if to give them space. “So I get to look like the whore while you look like the good guy?” She said tilting her head at him. “The rules are simple. It’s so none of us look bad…. I’m not… I’m not a bad person..” She said as she thought back to that memory when she was nine. ”You’re such a bad girl, a bad person and this is your punishment, Zelda.” She hadn’t thought about that voice in years. Her hands coming to the side of her hair as she gripped tightly and crouched down on the floor shaking her head. “Bad girls get punished.. I’m not bad. I’m good, I set the rules…” She said burying her face into her knees. -- There was too much to unpack, but the important one was clear. Jason crouched beside her, placing a hand on her. “That’s not it at all.” He said, his brow furrowed as she jumped to a far away conclusion. “I don’t sleep around because I want to Zel. It’s not something I enjoy- I mean it’s clearly something I enjoy physically, but it’s not something I’ve been proud or anything. I mean I hide it from everyone but one person who’s known me since I was a boy. You’re the first person I’ve slept with on the regular I’ve told about… everything. But it’s not a choice… it’s a compulsion. I normally don’t ignore it, but I want to now. I want to be with you.” Jason moved to place a hand on hers, hoping to coax it loose of her hair. “When I told you that you were wanted… needed… I wasn’t lying. But the rules are the rules and I’m not looking to change them. Anyone asks, you can tell them I’m sleeping around so you don’t look like a ‘bad guy’. Because you’re not.” He sighed. “And I don’t expect you to feel the same way, but I’d be doing you a disservice not to tell you how I feel.” -- When he explained his reason for going out and sleeping with people, she just listened to him. Feeling him coax her hands out her hair she came to look up at him. “That’s not… How it works… “ She said looking to him for the moment. Her frame moving to rest on her knees. “You can’t be faithful to me… Not me.” She said as she came to cup his face for the moment. “Baby, be faithful to anyone else, but me… I’m not worth that trouble.” She said sitting back on the floor. “You and Morgan deserve someone better, I’m just passing by we know this. So please…. Don’t say it…. Because if you do…. I might say it back.”She said looking down as she felt her eyes water up. -- “You are trouble..” He said with a small smile. “But one that is more than worth it. And Morgan just adores you, you’re really good with him and when he came into my life you had every right to bail, leave… I wouldn’t have blamed you and most would. But you stayed.” Jason slipped his fingers under her chin. “And you didn’t just stay, you became a real part of our lives. Sure, it’s not been a long time but you were there for that kid when he needed someone, and I can tell he loves you. And so do I.” He felt the world get still for a moment. “Zel… I know it breaks all the rules but… I do… I love you.” -- When he gave that confession, all Zel could do was stare at him. “...I told you...Not to say it…” She said as she came to exhale deeply. “Because i might say it back.” She said softly as she looked at his blue eyes for the moment. Her lower lip bitten at slightly as she felt her heart racing. “I love you too…” She said as she felt those tears come down her face. -- He brushed a thumb over her cheek, wiping away some of the tears. “Now is when you kiss me.” Jay told her softly. -- Already her frame leaped into his arms, which caused them both to fall back, with her on top of him as she pressed her lips against his and kissed him. -- |
