Jason, still on the floor from putting the tissue under the door leaned his head on it, turned to talk into the door as his hand lay on the wood. "We all have our flaws, Zel. We all have a past. But we aren't our flaws, they are just one part of us." He looked over to the closed door that was now housing a little boy. "Look at what you did for me." He wasn't even sure she was listening, but that didn't keep him from talking. "I found out today that I'm a father... to an eleven year old. That means eleven years ago when I was seventeen, I screwed up big and never even knew it." Was he glad he never knew? Yes actually, and he felt sort of guilty about that after meeting the kid. But he was not father material when he was in his early twenties, hell he wasn't sure he was father material now. "And what did you do? You could have ran, hell I wouldn't have blamed you. You didn't sign up for a kid, much less a pre-teen. Taking the next step, trying to be... a couple... this was never in the rules. It was never even a consideration. But you didn't run." He closed his eyes a moment, year it was getting hard to keep his emotions in. She'd been magic. "You went above and beyond. Way. And all while sober." He couldn't help but chuckle at that a bit. "You stayed, and for someone who isn't a family person... you sort of made a home. Even if it's just superficial. All for a boy you've never met... for a guy who until recently you were just a casual hook up for. With all that you went through last week, between finding out about lost family, losing your dad and being charged with his murder. And now you're still here?" Jason sighed and shook his head, his eyes were ready to overflow. "Fuck Zel... How can someone not want to be with you?"
