Re: Digger & Izzy
Whether their relationship was unhealthy or not, Izzy enjoyed it. She's had plenty of chances to back out of it, too, and she was sure he wouldn't really stop her even if she chose to walk away now. He was too important in her life for her to walk away, though. Beyond what he provided for her in the way of tips, product, protection, and fun, he gave her a chance every time they were together to simply let go and exist. At first, she'd resisted it, but once she'd gotten a taste of being his pet, she was hooked. She knew he had demons in his past and that parts of him were damaged beyond repair, but she still believed there was good in him, even when he told her there wasn't.
Smiling, Izzy reheated her dinner and sat down to eat. She took her time on her meal, even though it was a short break. She made the most of her time, getting as much of a refresh as she could before getting ready to head back out. On her way, she stopped by one of the wait staff and gave them a heads up that Officer Connors would be coming in, and that his favorite booth was to be open for him, and to give him a nice steak and a bottle of whisky. She had Riley's usual on hand, tucked into the top of her boot, but she knew he'd be more comfortable taking it directly from her, so she held onto it until he got there.
