Astoria didn't know what was worse. The fact that her mother hadn't told her that she was to be married at some point, or the fact that she was to be married at some point. To Theodore. It wouldn't be terrible, he was her best friend and one of the few people that she could really be herself with. There could have been worse matches for her, and at least her mother knew her well enough to go to Theodore's uncle and talk to him about it. But that wasn't the point. She was eighteen years old, only a few months out of Hogwarts and she didn't want to be married. Daphne wasn't even married yet, so it wasn't fair.
But then, she had gone and owled Seamus, which in retrospect, might not have been one of her most brilliant ideas. How was she supposed to tell the bloke she was flirting and having fantastic sex with that she could be getting married. Her mother still hadn't told her, so it could be a long time coming, but it was still under negotiation and... How was she supposed to tell him that?
It was too late now though. She'd already told him she'd been there in a few and now she had to go. Quickly, Astoria changed into something cute but casual and made her way to the Three Broomsticks. Thankfully, Seamus was already outside, so he wasn't hard to find at all. With a smile, she made her way over to him and sat down. "You are a lifesaver for taking this time." Although she still had no idea what to say to him.
