ORPHANAGE ATTACKED BY UNREGISTERED ANIMAGUS? Late Sunday night found the Little Hands Orphanage in Manchester a place of disaster. Twelve Muggles were found murdered including two of the elderly orphanage owners. Two other children were seriously injured and brought to St. Mungos to receive treatment. Aurors responding to the scene discovered a third adult and five children hiding in the basement. The victims suffered from bite and claw wounds, some having died from blood loss. Survivors reported hearing growling and shouting during the attack, but at this time there are no suspects reported. “We suspect this was an attack by an unregistered animagus,” a Ministry representative stated. “The supposed ‘Dark Mark’ that was found in the sky is proof that this was not commited by the escaped Death Eaters but by a copycat group.” The Ministry would not comment on this supposed copycat group, but they insist that the escaped Death Eaters have fled the country and are not a threat to Britain’s residents. The two injured children are expected to survive their injuries. Obliviators have been working through the night altering memories after taking witness statements. |

The Quibbler - 4/21/05 |

The Truth About The Orphanage Attack What the Ministry and the Prophet Don’t Want You to Know ARTICLE BY: LUNA LOVEGOOD, EDITOR The Daily Prophet and the Ministry of Magic would like us all to believe that the Sunday evening attack on the Little Hands Orphanage in Manchester was the work of an “unregistered animagus” and a “copycat group”. This is clearly not the truth, as The Quibbler will endeavor to prove to you today. To learn who really committed these heinous acts and to prepare ourselves for the future, we must consider the facts at hand. On the evening of Sunday, the 20th of March and the night of the Full Moon, the scene of a brutal event was discovered by a witch and a wizard, both of whom wish to remain anonymous. The Little Hands Orphanage in Manchester had been decimated by an unbelievable attack. Among the slain were ten muggle orphans and two muggle matrons who ran the Orphanage. Found injured at the scene were two more muggle children who were immediately rushed to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Found alive at the scene were the remaining five orphans and the third and final of the Orphan’s matron owners. The Prophet and the Ministry make no attempt to hide the horrible extent of the death toll, but what they have managed to hide is the true identity of the attackers. Unlike the Prophet and the Ministry, however, The Quibbler is here to tell you what really happened at the Little Hands Orphanage. ( CONTINUED ON PAGE TWO... ) |

[an owl to Lilith Moon, written in Irish and delivered to Hogwarts after the Daily Prophet and The Quibbler]
Met Katie at orphanage, went through house with her to find survivors while waiting for Aurors. Kind of a wreck today, and thank god I'm off work. You mentioned a possible way to help? If you've got something, I could really do with something to occupy myself besides drinking. |

Owl Post to Hestia Shacklebolt |

To: Hestia Shacklebolt, Rose Cottage, Hogsmeade From: Lilith Moon, Hogwarts
Heavily Warded for Hestia's eyes only.
Hestia,
Kingsley asked me to send you an owl in regards to a potential new Order member. His name is Seamus Finnigan, he's a bartender at Ri-Ra in Ireland and a very good friend of mine. He was a member of a certain group when we were in Hogwarts that I'm sure you've heard of. I think he would make a perfect addition to the Order and I was wondering how I would go about making that happen?
Thanks, Lilith |
