NPCs: --
When: April 30, 2012 - evening [backdated, yo]
Where: Kyle Rayner's apartment, Brooklyn
What: Jennie sits her brother down to have a serious talk about Todd's sexuality.
Rating: High-ish?
There wasn't a lot that frightened Jennie, maybe a handful of things or concepts that actually caused her to lose sleep. And to say that now she was terrified, was an understatement. She was absolutely frightened of what she wanted to confront Todd with because she had no idea how her twin was going to react. Well, she had an inkling, and given what she knew about Todd, she didn't expect the conversation to go well. But she needed to get it out into the air and at least getting him thinking about thing. She saw how miserable he was all the time and maybe this could help.
She had watched him, at her gallery opening, and the easy way he spoke with men. He was never like that around girls, she realized. And then things started clicking into place...
She saw this going one of two ways - either he was responsive to what she had to say. Or he'd be hopping mad. Jennie was banking on the latter. She wasn't exactly hopeful, hence why she was so afraid. It wasn't her intention to upset Todd, at all. In fact, despite being such a terrible sister half the time, she loved her brother very much. She just wished he was a bit more open and a bit more introspective.
Jennie was sitting on the couch, wedged into the corner and drinking a glass of wine. She was working on her second glass and wasn't feeling any less nervous despite what she had heard about alcohol being liquid courage. There was a second glass out on the coffee table in case Todd wanted to join her. She knew he wouldn't, but she'd offer all the same.
She made sure Kyle was conveniently gone, having warned him that she needed to talk to Todd about something serious and that he should make himself scarce. Now, she just needed Todd to get home from work.
