The photo album Victor had been reading was not as enjoyable as the late Dr. Crane had thought it would be. It had only enraged the murderer as he was reminded of how long it had been since he had last freed anyone. It did not take long for that to change however, not with the emergency release in his possession.
He had seen it before, in the hands of various doctors and nurses. With the photo album in one arm, Zsasz pressed the button and the door to his cell slid open with a 'beep'. There was no one in the hall outside his cell, not at this hour. Once he made it to ground level, that was when the fun would start.

It was liberating. The alarms were finally ringing and no doubt a call to the GCPD was in progress. Zsasz had three new tallies on his arm, still fresh and bleeding. He wiped the blood on his new weapon -- a crooked fork someone had left behind in the guards' locker room - and moved on. The three guards weren't going to finish their coffee or their game of cards but they were free. They were lucky to be the first to receive his gift after so long.
The coffee was still steaming in one of the victim's hands when they were found later on.

Zsasz arranged the boat driver so that the man looked like he was shifting gears on the boat. The blood dripping down his throat and staining the shirt under his windbreaker was telling but from a distance away, he almost looked...alive.
He turned back to the city. Gotham. Now where was the Batman?
