As always, the psychopath grinned at the doctor and the guards behind her. They were always so unnerved to see him smile. It was just a smile, he thought.
His gaze traveled from her throat down to her arm and to the box she held. A gift! He had never received a gift before, not in here. Zsasz was curious. What did the late Dr. Crane want him to have? Was he stupid or did he just not care that whatever was in the box could soon be a murder weapon in the eyes of the zombies?
A guard unlocked the straightjacket Zsasz was wearing nervously -- everyone knew what happened that one time -- as the other two pointed their guns at him. Zsasz wasn't about to kill them (yet). He was still staring at the box.
The serial killer shrugged out of his jacket and lifted the box. Interesting. The guards left him alone with his box but remained outside the cell, safety catches off.
What did Dr. Crane mean by this? He wanted him to escape?
