Reed didn't just want a car. He wanted a car and a shuttle and a submarine all in one. That was going to be a little bit more complicated. Johnny skimmed over the notes on the legal pad, before abandoning it for the computer screens. Reed had already detailed all the possible hurdles and, judging from the formulas everywhere, already had solutions in place. Complicated, but not impossible. Not to mention a hell of a lot of fun.
"You've got a deal." Johnny grinned and tossed the little clay model back to Reed.
He leaned over the workspace to get a closer look at the monitors. By the look of things, Reed already put a lot of thought into the project. He'd probably been working on it for, oh, a whole day or so. Cabin pressurization. Heat shielding. This thing was going to have to carry a ton of weight, not counting Ben. "VTOL, right? Or STOVL?"
But that was just a detail, the big question was... "What are you thinking for a power source? Nuclear? Ion?"
