Laura was still holding the bear, even as her cellphone buzzed. She checked the message as she heard the familiar gate near her door. Instead of acknowledging him, she answered the text. The face she made toward it was possibly priceless. Why would she cuddle a teddy bear?
She was holding it in her hand, the soft fabric felt nice against her fingers. She could see why people would want to hug the creature, but she wasn't what one would call a cuddler. Looking over at him finally she held it up. "I don't think I should have this." It was soft and nice, which was everything she wasn't. Maybe having one would make people less wary around her? That was a double-edged sword, considering her trigger scent.
She didn't quite hand it back as she slipped her cell into the back of her jean pocket. She lowered it. "Thank you." Her arms crossed over it comfortably. It was totally not a cuddle.
