"Well, no, not exactly", Tim said, seeing how he was already falling short in this explanation. He supposed part of the problem was that outside of his 'dating' Stephanie, that he really did not have a whole lot in the way of experience himself. Sure, he had been out with other girls now and then before her, but for the most part he had invested almost his entire being into being Robin. And really, that was the only reason he had met Stephanie at all, as he did not imagine he would have ventured to get to know her too well outside of costume due to his nightly convictions.
"I mean, I am sure he would not mind a gift, but typically it is the guy who dotes upon the girl. In other words, he would be the one expected to get you flowers to make you happy."
Talking about this was beginning to remind him how much he actually did want a normal relationship.
"Alright, here it is. If you want to make him happy, see if you have some sort of common interest. Or identify a hobby or something he likes to do, and do it with him. Guys like it when their girls make an effort to hang out with them like that." Not that he would know from personal experience.
"How, ah... serious are you, anyway? You and Doug?"
