She had grown so used to showing up on the roof to meet Batgirl that when suddenly her friend stopped appearing, Steph didn't know what to think. At first, she had thought that Batgirl had been delayed -- there was almost some sort of disaster happening in Gotham after all -- and she couldn't blame anyone if Batgirl missed one night of training. Then one night turned into two and soon it was a week later.
Steph had wondered if something bad had happened to her but she chastised herself for thinking it. If something did happen, Robin would have told her and he hadn't said anything besides 'don't worry' and 'she's fine', whatever that meant. The unwelcomed notion that maybe Batgirl had just given up on her and didn't want to train her anymore also starred in Steph's thoughts for a few days, and that maybe Robin was letting her down easy. He was always trying to protect her.
As Steph made her way to the roof however, it was obvious that Someone was there and that Someone was the someone Steph had been hoping to see for the last few days. Batgirl haven't give up on her!
"Oh my god, it's you!" she greeted loudly and packed her grapple away. "Where have you been? It's been forever and I thought you were killed by some crazy psycho or something."
