He saw it from the Manor and the drive into the lower portion of downtown Gotham took him twenty minutes in the Batmobile, driving carefully at increased speeds through the darker streets.
Parking several blocks away, Batman rappelled to the roofs and swung to the top of the precinct building, landing silently in the shadows. He always like to observe for a moment, unseen, to see what if anything could be gleaned from the situation awaiting him.
