"It gives great support," Babs explained as she stepped closer to Ted. She polished off her glass of wine, setting this on the end table and taking his glass. This, too, was set aside before she turned back to him, bringing a hand up to touch his face. She offered him a smile that hid the nerves she was feeling underneath.
Technically, this was only their third date, so maybe she was moving too quickly. Still, they had known each other for a long time now--even if she hadn't known his real name. And the rest was all there on Google for the both of them to look up. He'd looked her up, and she had looked him up, probably a more invasive search than he'd conducted on her. At the end of the day, she'd never know if they were ready for the next step with just the facts on paper.
