"It's a work in progress," she replied with a sheepish grin and a shrug. She really wished it didn't take so long for her to get the hang of Russian. She always felt embarrassed when she butchered the pronunciations. Thankfully, Bucky was a kind teacher and didn't tease her too much.
L.L. picked up her utensils and proceeded to cut the chicken into more manageable servings. Taking a bite, she chewed slowly, taking in the flavor and texture much like a food critic would do.
"It's good," she told him with a smile once she swallowed. "A little dry, but chicken has a nasty habit of doing that unless it's cooked juuuust right. The marinara sauce helps adds moisture, though, so it isn't all that noticeable. For the first time I'd give it a solid four out of five." She took a bite of the vegetables, then added. "And these vegetables knock it out of the park. Are they from a farmers market? They taste fresh."
