Damian looked up when his father approached. He thumbed at the power button on his phone then neatly slipped it into his pocket. Titus was already off and running again. The dog would probably be content to do this all day. (Well, when not enjoying the occasional hot dog or hamburger or any food stuffs that had happened to drop onto the grounds.)
"I did the rounds," Damian said. He paused a moment, then added, "For a little while." It was so much easier to greet people at the door for formal affairs than flit from group to group in a casual setting like this. Damian waited expectantly. He had wondered how long it would take for someone to herd him back in the direction of the party proper.
