L.L. let out a sigh and moved her hand from his face as she scooted back a little more onto her seat. She placed her elbow on the counter and rested her cheek on her hand, watching him.
"It was going to happen no matter what you did," she said matter-of-factly, gaze moving away from him to settle on the food. "There was no way I wouldn't have killed at least one person especially not after learning what they did to the people I care about. Hell, I'm pretty sure I caused the death of at least a dozen or more when I went to rescue Loki." There was a sad smile. "I know you didn't want me to, but... it was war. No one remains innocent after that no matter how much you want it."
She let out another sigh, turning in her stool so that she was resting against the counter and looking out at the various boxes scattered about. "No one is safe to be around. Something will always happen. It's a risk that I have, and will continue, to take." She glanced over at him, a small smile with a hint of cheekiness in it. "Besides, you're not the only person that I hang out with that isn't safe to be around. Don't give yourself so much credit."
