It was a shame Ophelia wasn't present. She could probably coerce a straight answer out of the magical magpie's mouth better than he could. Really now. There was no use in talking if it didn't have anything useful to say. Smart comments and cryptic threats were hardly helpful at present.
Damian moved closer to Loki as he spoke again. If he was dreaming, then could it be as simple as waking him up. Damian reached out to give Loki a firm shake in an effort to snap him out of whatever this was. A fall from a height, Damian could manage, but not at present and not without a lot of creative excuses.
As the darkness slowly started to encroach the room, Damian made sure to stay close to Loki. He couldn't exactly shield him, not when the threat seemed ever present. His fingers twitched once in frustration. There were weapons in his room but he hadn't thought to bring any. The library, on the other hand, had a significant number of heavy ornate objects and maybe a few tricks hidden here nor there.
Though blunt objects weren't much use when it came to intangible threats. Damian shot Ikol another glare. "What else can wake him?"
