Damian wasn't sure what to expect when he entered the library. There was something off about Loki and that was more disconcerting than the events in the upstairs room. Was it some sort of trance? Mind control? There was no assailant Damian could find. Titus almost seemed back to normal. The quick run had distracted him. If someone had gone to the trouble of infiltrating the Manor, Damian doubted they would leave so easily. Maybe they were waiting for the right opportunity.
Then Loki turned and had an incomprehensible conversation. He was clearly out of sorts. Had something happened since they turned in? Or was this all some sort of subconscious manifest of Loki's powers. If so, it seemed less a dream and more of a nightmare.
And suddenly there was a bird in the studying. A glowing bird. A talking, glowing bird. Titus's ears perked up again as Damian's gaze narrowed. Some sort of spell... or possibly a familiar?
He glanced between Loki and Ikol, giving Loki a concerned look and a granting the magpie a suspicious gaze. "And what exactly is this?" Damian asked.
