Loki stopped chewing on the cracker tower briefly. Because what he heard wasn't Damian's noting his bed was crowded. He just heard that he didn't say no. In fact, he heard "welcome". Because even Loki could hear what he wanted at times, and he was used to Damian being very blunt about what he meant. This wasn't the bluntest of phrases.
It took a bit to work the tower down into a few swallows, washed down with coffee. Then he was stacking again. Yes, going for five layers. This one he tossed pieces together, so it was a large imbalanced piled at the bottom before he stuck his tongue out for the last few layers. "Okay... So... Why does the company suddenly have so many open positions?"
Because of course they had to replace the Hydra agents that had wormed into the industry over the years. They had fled or been hunted down once it was obvious SHIELD had a list of them. Working a 9 to 5 was no longer important.
Loki took a drink before setting his mug down. "Hydra?" he guessed. "They're gone now, though, right? Honestly, I'm not sure which was worse. Them or the Skrull invasion. I'd have to say the Skrulls were a little more warm blooded, though. All right. Let me... Umm..." He examined the stack, stretched his jaw as wide as it would go, but it was too high. "Maybe..." He turned it a few angles. Then ended up turning it a little on its end and wedging all of its contents into his maw.
Well, at least Damian had enough refinement for the both of them.
