"Calm king, calm people," Loki said. "Any ideas why they targeted Gotham so hard or was it just because they had a suitable underground hideout?" That wasn't so well known to the media. SHIELD and capes knew about the Hydra base that had been under Gotham's feet. The media did not. Whatever information could be controlled was still being clamped down on by the hollowed out organization. The block war that had happened above was not so easy to keep quiet, but it was on the fringe of Bludhaven. Block wars were not terribly unheard of.
Damian was not wrong. Loki was stacking cracker, meat, and cheese to four stacks high now. He was grinning. "Aww, don't want me to stay in yours?" he asked while playfully slighting of hand to make the last layer's ingredients seemingly appear smoothly on top. He picked the stack up carefully, tone casual. "Eh, probably just as well. I either throw blankets and pillows everywhere or I steal them all and wrap up like a burrito. There is no in between!" Crunch! He looked immensely pleased with managing the stack with so little trouble, cheeks puffed as his teeth busily masticated the snack into something more manageable.
