Re: Teams converge
For once Loki didn't have his usual witty reply that he would normally have had to having a weapon pointed at him. Instead he just stared at the tip of the crossbow point, shoulders lowering some and his smile freezing into something with stressed edges.
"You mad little woman!" Ikol berated, flapping his wings near Loki's ear. It was a useless gesture on his part. Speedy of course couldn't see nor hear Ikol. Only L.L. and Strange's truthful eye could.
Loki shrank closer to L.L. when she arrived. "I was going to use stronger language than that, yes. They're not very hospitable, really."
While they talked, Loki sniffed heavily, coming further into the room till he found the blood he smelled. He looked at the man on the floor that had committed suicide, head tilting while listening to the others, stepping around him so he didn't get blood on his bare toes, looking at the lab with an apprehensive interest.
Loki looked toward the screens. "Complied?" He tilt his head, looking at it. "... They were brainwashing him. Instead of grinding him him up for what they could get of the serum... I thought he was just delirious from pain." He looked to the two men on the slabs.
"Likely getting the same done. Look at this one's hands." Loki did so, picking one hand up and looking it over. "Oh, these are soft, and he's not soldier fit... This is a civilian."
"Speedy." That was Red Robin again on her com. "You heard right? Are you getting out of there?"
Loki had moved on to looking at the jars. Ikol was pecking at one, which was silent. "The bastards have a piece of your liver here."
"Oh, that's rude,"' Loki said, head tilting as he looked at the sample.
