Re: Dr Strange!
"In truth," Stephen managed with a wry smile, but at least an honest one, "I'm not entirely sure where we are, either." Beneath ground, that was for sure, and likely not in New York itself, and somewhere distant from a lei line to keep the magic eating runes from being detected - but there were so many places that fit those characteristics. And the way he felt right now, he wasn't sure he could manage a good teleportation spell, even one back to the solid anchor of the Sanctum.
He hadn't exactly planned this well, come to think of it. The blood on the ground caught his eye, and seemed to whisper to him that there was another way open to him, a quick way, and then he could pretend he'd never contemplated such a thing.
He pushed it aside; as with many things, the harder way was the better way. Stephen started to edge to his feet to see what he could make of the rest of the bonds as the ghostly magpie - the Old Power - that lurked around Loki wing its way out of the room and hopefully make itself useful by finding an exit.
Then the magic rippled, and he brought up a shield as the portal opened - reflex, and one he dropped as soon as he recognized the girl. L.L, in whatever she chose to wear, was talented and a good friend. "Later," he agreed. "His bonds," he agreed, nodding at Loki. "Cloak, stay with him. Treat for shock," he said. It might be harder to tell based on Loki's tendency to babble, but Stephen was taking absolutely no chances.
He looked at the ceiling, the cracks the release of energy had created, and said slowly, "I think casting another major spell here would not be a good idea." And moving three people who-knew how far was a major spell indeed, far more than just L.L's jump here.
