Re: Dr Strange!
"I really was, wasn't I? No blame for the tardiness, sir. They actually did a very good job with this barrier and even I don't know where I am." Loki looked down to Whitehall's instruments laying on the floor. He was going to gut me... That was... that was close.
The sphere didn't just shatter the energy. It sent cracks through the floor, walls, and ceiling when the energy caved. The runes were snapped in half by a spiderweb of pressure and strain, like they had been etched on a porcelain bowl rather than cement and stone.
Loki inhaled, eagerly trying to call energy to himself again. And finding he could. It wasn't enough to make a spell, not even cantrips, but it was there, and starting to fill that ache of loss at being unable to manipulate any of his surroundings.
He didn't realize that pulling had also pulled on L.L. But of course, his energy was her energy. Or more correctly, it was Ikol's.
As soon as the runes shattered, Ikol flew up and started to shoot away. "Ikol!" Loki called after him, panicked.
The ghostly magpie halted., flapping in mid air "I'm just seeing what all is where and what is going on. I will be right back."
Loki nodded. Ikol disappeared through the wall just as L.L. showed up.
And Loki proceeded to lie by giving her a great grin, despite the line of blood on his chin. "L.L.! I've finally decided on a birthday date! It's going to be today! Although what is today? Oh! You can help, yes. Cloak, can you let her get to the chains? I really need out of these. Please?"
Even while she was working on those, Ikol flew back, landing on L.L.'s shoulder now as she worked. "Some of the Titans are here, and what I imagine is Gotham's vigilante group. James is not here."
