Bucky's eyes narrowed at the panicked look in L.L.'s eyes. His right hand moved to the trigger of his rifle but his finger stayed outside the trigger guard. When she used another scrying spell he frowned, wondering what she was doing. He arched a brow when he heard Loki's name. Loki, he knew, had been a menace for a long time but for the last few years he had gone quiet. Rumor was he had become a child, a redo as it were so he could have a chance at a better life.
He noted the glare in L.L.'s eyes. "I know you could but you change when you take a life, whether it's an innocent one or not," he said. "I had my share of blood on my hands before the Soviets even took me and made me into their ideal assassin." He shifted the rifle to behind his back and moved in front of L.L., tilting her head up with one hand as his other tugged the goggles and mask off, letting them fall. His dark eyes were intense as he recalled his past.
"I was Cap's side-kick yes but I also did the dirty work that needed doing so Cap's hands would stay clean." His hand on her face shifted so the palm was resting against her cheek. "You got a good heart L.L. A kind soul. Killing'll tarnish those things a little at a time. Trust me."
