"Of course I do." L.L. took the knife with a smile, then flipped it into the air and caught it by the hilt. She cut the knife through the air in quick movements. "I've been training in bladed weapons, remember? Swords are great and all, but knives and daggers are more practical. Easier to carry and better in close combat."
She nodded in understanding, watching as Bucky went to grab his mask and goggles. Her eyes moved from him to the door and back again, then she smirked. "Correction. I'll take you." She held her hand into the air and wiggled her fingers, creating a large spiral of teal energy. She went to enter, motioning for him to come with her.
Stepping through, she found herself in the living room area of her studio apartment. Once her companion made it fully through the gateway, she snapped her fingers and it disappeared. "Portals are pretty nifty, huh?" She smiled, then she did a quick scan the apartment for anything amiss and, when it seemed everything was okay, she proceeded to close the curtains of the two large floor to ceiling windows. Once that was taken care of, L.L. looked to the stairs leading to the loft situated above them. With a quick motion, she headed towards the stairs. "The scrying pool is upstairs."
The loft served as a bedroom and housed a queen sized bed, a couple dressers and various other odds and ends found in a standard bedroom. On the bed rested an open box that were filled with what appeared to be letters, but she paid it no mind. Instead, she went towards the opposite end of the area where a slender pedestal made of stone stood in the corner. She gave it a once over, noting the bowl was bone dry.
"This is it," she announced, letting Bucky take a look. "It'll take me a couple minutes to get ready. I need to fill the bowl with water. Wait here while I go do that real quick." She picked up an ornate pitcher resting on the ground next to the pedestal, then quickly descended the stairs.
