Re: Mia, Tim, James, and Kon - Late medieval times London.
Tim only lift his hands in a passive gesture Conner's direction when he snarled. Not my fault I was trained not to panic. First I need information, then we'll deal with now and strategize on how to get home.
Tim spent five minutes, the two gesturing often to emphasize words, but it seemed he was struggling along, and the man was being polite. Very polite. He pointed often in different directions, explaining slowly so Tim could catch everything and figure out the meaning. Tim thanked him profusely, even returned the religious farewell before heading back to them. He'd already picked up the accent some.
"All right, our best bet is to go to the tourney grounds. Everyone will mistake us for just some of the many foreign nobles there. We have to head through Cheapside, where he said surely someone would be willing to trade with us. There are markets all down it. That takes us over toward Westminster. Keep an eye out for anything that looks like unusual heatwaves in the meantime. Mia, do you want my coat? Collar's higher and it'll hang lower. It's going to get hot in it real quick though. Conner, he mistook you for our guard, so if you could walk ahead, and James, if you could..." He stopped himself. He hadn't slipped completely into Robin mode, not to the point of altering his voice at least, but he had been that matter of fact and he wasn't acting like he should be... which should have been a scared civilian in front of James. He rubbed at the back of his head, smile turning shy. "Uh, be the gallant and make sure no one thumps us from behind?"
