Who: Dr Strange (+OPEN)
When: 2/14
Where: New York
What: A little Valentine's Day lust chaos never hurts anyone, right?
Even for jaded New Yorkers, it was very difficult to ignore. a naked man running down the street when it was February. Stephen looked up from his mug of tea and medical journal as the faintest of shrieks reached him from outside, and being that he was tucked into a window booth at the coffee shop, had a front-row view of the streaker.
He could have dismissed it as being just one more piece of New York life, and let someone with authority round him up and take him to a nice, quiet, warm room for evaluation, but as the man waved his arms in the air and announced he loved the whole world, there was a tickle at his mystical senses that made him take a second, closer look. It was possible it was inadvertent, a product of combining and clashing forces on this particular day, but if magic was still involved, the one with the authority to deal with the man was him.
Stephen still sighed as he swung his cloak over his shoulders and strode outside; however this worked out, his tea would be cold by the time he got back.
"Love you, and you, and my dear aunt Betsy in Minnesota!" the man was shouting in the general direction of up. There wasn't an obvious aura around him, but this close to him, it was easier to identify the gestures not as a nervous or manic tic, but a magical compulsion, and not just for the edge of power that surged up from his skin a moment before he waved his arms up at the world.
Stephen must have made enough noise as he approached, because the man whirled. "Love you!" he shouted, and before Stephen could retreat, had bounded forward and wrapped Stephen in a hug, burying his face in the shoulder of the cloak.
He smelled like sugar frosting and a particular pink love potion Stephen was sadly familiar with, and Stephen started figuring out how to best wiggle out of the grip so he could investigate further. It would be uncomfortable and embarrassing, if there wasn't a great deal more magic involved than it had first appeared.
