As he thought, Damian did not comment on his family's upcoming new arrival. He wondered how he would feel if he were a middle child, but then, Loki hadn't even been a real child in the family, and he wasn't claiming himself anyone's son currently anyhow.
And of course Loki obligingly babbled. "Or underground," Loki agreed enthusiastically. "This whole city has so many underground waterways and springs, places where the bay seeps in and pushes things with salt--it's one reason things are hard to track here energy wise while still in abundance. Water can change where energy flows, sometimes making it line up with it or sometimes just bending its path where it crosses. The only other option is that it lies under a building, but either way, a thing like that wouldn't have gone long undiscovered were it open to the surface."
