Re: Meeting up - Tokyo
He had refused, often, which was one reason he felt stupid to be standing here, looking at her and feeling both pleased at her happiness and foolishly flakey. But she was happy to see him. And it'd be an obvious lie if he tried to say he wasn't happy to see her, because he couldn't keep the smile from pulling on his lips, even if it was a little crooked.
"Less 'decided' and really just... did." That was way more of a Mia thing to do. He was picking up her habits, it seemed. He opened an arm up, invitation into his space for a hug. His mannerisms before and this actual signal for close greeting sealed it. He was here as Tim, and definitely not as Robin. "Robin" even moved differently, wasting little motion, low in emotion and steady and calculating. Sometimes Mia and Conner got to see the two of them blur, but no one else in the group had ever really met... Tim.
Which made him even more uncertain. He wanted to slip into sure Robin mode with this group and it wasn't possible. Business mode wouldn't do either. So how to behave?
Connor was just smiling at him, glad he had showed up. Teddy and Billy were another booth away but had noticed him and were trying to decide amongst themselves what was going on. Tim found it easier to focus on Mia for now. There wasn't any acting where Mia was concerned. Besides, she would call him out if he tried to act, he was certain.
