There was a whole general hub bub going on just outside the room, where Dinah couldn't see and couldn't get to in under half an hour, given how long it was going to take to get up and waddle all the way out there. It seemed to finally break up when people began filing back in; and though she'd missed out on the details of whatever the hell had been happening in that little pow-wow, it seemed to have ended pleasantly, if surprisingly, with Jason joining them and allowing himself to be pulled into the room by Mia, who was hovering and handed a paintbrush by Bruce who was purposefully trying not to hover and not succeeding.
Dinah's philosophy when it came to standoff-ish kids (re: young men) like Jason was... different. Instead of getting up or rushing over or even verbally inviting or welcoming him, instead she simply made eye contact, smiled and nodded in greeting. It seemed he had plenty of people who wanted his attention-- too many more and he was sure to bolt. Just like Damian. Just like Roy.
Better to let them come around in their own time. It had worked with Roy, with Mia to a lesser extent...
... and just maybe it was starting to work with Damian as well.
