Re: Mingling - Loki & open
Just like that, there was one more recommendation thrown on the pile. His classmates had been horrified about his lack of interest to all things Star Wars or Harry Potter or their even more eclectic choices in musicians. It wasn't as if Damian wasn't capable of researching things himself but there were only so many hours in a day and more important subjects to occupy his time. Still, he nodded his thanks to Loki. He'd probably have to read this novel, if only because Loki would be sure to ask after it.
Damian slumped slightly when the subject of school came up. It was... fine. Tolerable for the most part, by now his classmates had learned to give him space and he was even somewhat friendly with a few of them. Boarding schools meant everyone was on top of everyone so it was either glare non-stop or learn to tolerate some of the less grating personalities.
"The professors are adequate," Damian said, "I suppose." None of the teachers could be considered authorities but at least most had a decent mastery of their subjects. Though all of them did have the strangest quirks but that wasn't too outlandish for Gotham. "I don't have a clique if that's what your asking."
People he was friendly with didn't necessary constitute friends.
Damian watched as Loki played with his deck of cards (was that part of the character?) and alternatively turned his attention to the crowd. He spotted a few familiar faces, Gotham's well to do, but no one he was in a rush to engage with. That had been the entire point of loitering around by the wall. Damian already knew he couldn't leave without his absence being noted.
