Re: Dinah & Maria
Maria had been ignoring her. She must have thought Dinah was stupid if she hadn't noticed. Alfred had even mentioned her recent visit with Dick, where Maria had not gone out of her way to say hello to her friend-- nor to Bruce as far as Dinah knew. They were going to be parents and that meant that they-- that she-- was no longer of use to the Director of SHIELD. It was more than insulting at this point, after they'd already hashed out the details months ago. But if Maria wanted to ignore her, Dinah wasn't going to press. That was Bruce's M.O. anyway. She consciously dropped her hand away from her belly.
"Hey." She said and offered a smile, looking over Maria's costume briefly, "Uh, Pardon me, are you Aaron Burr, sir?" She added with a little grin, half expecting Maria to shoot back with "That depends, who's asking?" not because it was the next line, but because it was a very Maria answer.
"Uh... A hundred and seventysomething?." She said, glancing towards the ceiling as if the old house was going to speak up to correct her. It didn't, she figured that was a good thing. "Though I guess there were plenty of years where there wasn't anyone here for Halloween. How spooky would that be?"
