"Yeah." It was the first time Dinah had ever actually heard Damian acknowledge the fact that she was pregnant. Then again, they hadn't spent a lot of time in the same room, so for all she knew maybe he did so every hour-- though she somehow doubted it. It was a bit of a surprise, and she didn't bother trying to hide it. Like his dad, Damian was sure to see through any attempts at subterfuge.
And that's when it hit her. That might be the key to getting Damian-- well, not to like her, she wasn't that naive, but at least to tolerate her. She would treat him very much like a smaller version of his father-- which was to say, pester the ever-loving shit out of him until he broke. After all, even before they'd had any kind of romantic relationship, Bruce-- and Batman-- had begrudgingly come around to respecting her intrusion on his territory for no other reason than because she simply hadn't gone away when he'd said boo.
And if she could put up with it from the Grown Up Version, she could definitely put up with it from the Teenage Version (though some would argue there wasn't a whole lot of difference).
It may not have been a solid plan; but it was a plan and she felt better to have one instead of flying blind.
"Yeah, middle of January." She added. She could have given an exact date, but she doubted Damian cared that much. What she gave was close enough, and probably more accurate than any actual date anyway. "You're right though, we'd probably have to revisit it around Christmas time; but that still gives you four months to thoroughly vet appropriate sitters and dog walkers in the meantime, rather than just a couple weeks." She didn't turn around, but kept working at re-organizing the files in front of her, and shrugged one shoulder.
"I'm obviously not allowed to get up to my usual stunts when it comes to exercise, but walking's apparently a good one. It's just boring. If I have to go three times a week, and Titus has to go three times a week, we might as well keep each other company."
