Damian quickly sorted through the next two candidates. One volunteered at a no-kill shelter and the other was a theater major at Gotham Community College. It didn't take much effort which was good because Lance was still attempting to make small talk. Or maybe this was some futile attempt at bonding.
His fingers paused momentarily when she used the word home, then stopped completely at the term 'weekends'. Damian frowned down (more of a scowl really) at the keyboard. His initial plan was to attend school during the week and be home on the weekends.
Though he'd be away from the manor, that was no reason for Robin to disappear from the city. In fact, depending on the circumstances, Damian was quite sure he'd be able to slip in and out of the school as needed. It was only breaking curfew if you were caught.
He'd briefly touched upon the subject with Father and received only generalities in return. But despite that, Damian was not about to give up the partnership. Especially not when there were so many others who could fill that role.
Commuting from Gotham Academy would be an adjustment... but what wasn't these days?
"I'll be home on the weekends," Damian replied, sounding a tad defensive, "And holidays."
