She wasn't surprised by Bruce's reaction, per se, she knew he would have one, this was his son they were talking. She was, however, surprised by the vehemency of his reaction. He took her burrito right out of her hands and pulled her to her feet, and his voice was adamant. He kissed her, and she returned it, but despite his reassurances, there was a whispering in the back of her mind, a whispering of the truth; which was that there wouldn't be a problem at all if shethey hadn't butted into Bruce's life and turned things upside down for a young man who had already had so much instability in his life.
On the other hand; there was nothing to be done about it now except to deal And Damian would or wouldn't do that on his own terms, in his own time.
She tried to smile. It failed. But she tried, and nonetheless, she did drop her head against his shoulder and gave him a little squeeze. There was a long moment of silence then where she simply held onto him with her head on his shoulder before she spoke again, her voice slightly muted against his jacket.
"I'm gonna tell Alfred you took away my burrito and you're going to be in big trouble."
