"Delicious cheesecake," he assured, smile widening when he realized that had dinged. Then he gave a long suffering sigh. "Althoooooough, I can eat it if you're too busy to. I don't mind that hardship. I would take that sacrifice for you."
He then moved over to the workstation, folding his hands on a corner, crouching so his chin was resting on top of them. "I can bring it in here if you need it." They did get busy, and it was hard to pull any of them off a case. But by the dart of his eyes on her frame, he was obviously trying to assess by how she was sitting and the way her shoulders were held how long she'd been at it. "The cheesecake just might not make it that far, though. Just fair warning." More teasing, and a little bartering. If she told him to bring the damned cheesecake to her, he would, but he'd probably make grumpy airs about it.
