Steve + Bobbi
It wasn't inaccurate. He did like to plant himself on the wall and watch. He just didn't know how to mingle and socialize. He knew how to strategize and attack plan, disarm bombs, ride motorbikes, how to draw, how to observe and look for trouble, but just casually mingling wasn't a skill he'd ever picked up or been taught.
"Hello, Bobbi." And just like Bobbi, she was already pointing out the obvious and smacking it with a conversation hammer. "I was just thinking." An attempt at deflection, and a poor one he realized he wasn't going to manage, so he drew a deeper breath instead. "I never what to say at times. I usually end up just smiling and nodding and trying not to inane questions. Worse, usually people don't seem to know what to say to me either. It's awkward usually on both sides of the conversation fence, but I don't mind just watching people." His eyes scanned over the crowd. "Often you learn just as much."
