Another night in Gotham City, and Edward Nygma, Former Prince of Puzzles, Conniver of Conundrums and Rapscallion of Riddles found himself trailing someone for a client. This was becoming a trend and one he was tired of. One would think that the upper crust of Gotham City would have at least interesting cases to offer him.
But no. Far too many were like this one: a wealthy person was being blackmailed by someone who wanted their money. They couldn't go to the police and risk exposure to whatever information the blackmailer had, so they came to him. And once again, he spent a late night in some of the worst parts of Gotham, slowly ruining another pair of shoes.
He wouldn't be immediately recognizable as he took up a watching position in a nearby alleyway, but someone who was familiar with the Gotham Rogues would be able to pick him out. And possibly wonder what he was doing there...
