Re: Ollie & Babs
Ollie was never sure what to expect out of Barbara Gordon. Some days she was sweet as could be and willing to help out someone in need-- other days... Well, Ollie had spent enough time around Roy to know that still waters ran deep with redheads; and you couldn't count on them to not have a fit if the moon hit them just right. Barbara put him on edge to say the least, which had very little to do with the fact that she didn't like him for Dinah's sake, and even more to do with the fact that she just plain didn't like him.
But you couldn't win them all; and Ollie had long ago stopped trying to make people like him just for the sake of making life easier.
"Call a fireman!" He repeated with obvious excitement to be joined in a chorus of 'Hot Damn!' from those nearby who had gotten used to this particular bit of theatrics from the chili station. He ladled a portion from the farthest pot and passed it across to Barbara.
"Normally I make people sign a waiver to have that one: no one with heart defects, pregnant women or people who just can't hold their damn spice allowed on this ride.
"But you look like a woman who knows what she's about, so for you, I'll make an exception." He said with a smile.
What? Just because she didn't like him didn't mean he couldn't be friendly.
