Re: Dinah and Open
He was on dangerous ground, and the probably was proof of that, but Bruce was who he was, and couldn't help the need to protect what meant most to him. "First of all, I had nothing to do with her getting up there; and you don't really believe I'd make her go back," he challenged, light dancing in his eye. "Second, you'll notice I was the one who bought her." As he knew how Maria felt about such things, it had only seemed right to take care of her, even though he knew she would hate that he thought of it that way. Less, however, that he cared enough to include her among those he wanted to protect.
The way he Dinah, if not quite as intensely, and she would hate the ferocity of that impulse, too. "I don't like sharing," he responded off-hand, a truth that was not as animalistic as it sounded, but at last, he sighed. "Alright." Bruce had never been able to resist her. He didn't think he ever would. "Go on up and make some money for the charity. You don't need my permission, and I promise not to stand here and glower." He kissed her lips, and then her neck, inhaling the scent that had become as familiar to him as his own.
She made him sigh again; Dinah really was playing dirty. "Alright," he repeated, this time with a chuckle. "I will take the lady on a date, somewhere... she'll enjoy, if I can figure it out. You're a very persistent woman, you realize?" He eyed her fondly, mouth curving just a bit. "No wonder I married you."
