Ollie nodded his agreement. Lian was a generous kid. She liked to help other people, and would give away even her most favorite toy if she thought it would do someone else some good. Like her old man.
"She sure is." He concurred, suddenly turning to look out the kitchen window behind him as Mia pointed out the increase in the snow. He scowled. Snow was not his thing.
"My knitting room." He said, putting his bowl down and reaching for his coat hanging off a peg near the back door. "C'mon Dumbo, let's go outside before the snow gets deep enough for you to fall through." Ollie pulled his coat on and turned up the collar to keep the snow out, then opened the back door to shoo Underdog out to do her business. He did not trust her tiny bladder to brave a twenty-four hour blizzard.
