"Lullaby Op. 16" was a rather soothing piece for Doom, one he could play without too much effort or thought, letting it fuel out his complicated array of emotions. His bare fingers drift over the keys of the grand piano, never losing track of the soulful piece. Though his thoughts did wander into a myriad of directions, a dozen trains braiding and unraveling and switching to new tracks, and for a little while he let them.
Beep. Doom kept playing even as the robotic voice noted in his mask there were calls from certain city officials. He continued playing until there were four or five, then let his fingers drift upward before cascading down on the high notes while answering. "Tell them Doom does not appreciate their nosiness and their city is in no danger from such a minor shake."
There was quiet for a while, allowing him to play in peace before more beeping. There was apparently demand for what had happened to cause the Latveria Embassy to rumble, right during a large surge of electric use that had nearly overridden the grid, and why was Doom even plugging into their grid? Didn't he keep his own power sources for his lab facilities there at the Embassy?
Doom scowled behind his mask, his fingers striking the keys more firmly. "Tell them if they truly wish to know they may step on my threshold to ask, not bother me via the phone lines."
Quiet. He played for some time, then sighed and left the bench, closing the key cover reverently before placing his gauntlets into place, standing and moving back down to his lab. Now to figure out what had gone wrong...
